  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 green chilli, chopped (adjust to taste)

  • œ bell pepper, diced

  • œ capsicum, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1–2 tsp chilli sauce (or your favorite spicy sauce)

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • Fresh coriander, chopped, for garnish

⏱ Prep & Cook Time

  • Soaking time: 30 minutes

  • Cooking time: 20 minutes

  • Total time: ~50 minutes

đŸ”Ș Instructions

1. Soak & Cook the Bajra (Pashtra)

Start by soaking œ cup of bajra in water for about 30 minutes. This softens the grains and shortens cooking time.
Then, boil the soaked bajra in salted hot water until tender (around 15–20 minutes). Drain and set aside.

2. Prep the Veggies

Finely chop the onion, green chilli, bell pepper, capsicum, and garlic. Keep everything ready to go.

3. Sauté the Vegetables

Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic first and sauté until aromatic.
Toss in the onions, chillies, bell pepper, and capsicum. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until the veggies are cooked but still crisp.

4. Add Flavor & Millet

Drizzle in your chili sauce and give everything a good mix.
Now, add the cooked bajra (pashtra) and stir thoroughly so the flavors coat every grain.

5. Garnish & Serve

Turn off the heat and sprinkle fresh coriander on top. Serve warm and enjoy the burst of textures and flavors!
